Now that I have some new Bluetooth earbuds for audio books (thanks Sudio!) my summer reading goals have moved to the next level. Years and years ago I LOVED to read but to be completely honest I haven’t been able to actually read for such a long time. I can’t concentrate with the kids all running around and when it’s quiet at night I can barely keep my eyes open. Having the books read to me is a total game changer! I use these Niva earbuds. They’re comfy and stay put at the gym and come in their own self charging case which I LOVE. Use code SWEETERSIDEMOM for 15% off any pair. And if you haven’t signed up for Audible I swear you won’t be disappointed. I’ve heard a lot of people hesitate ... read more
The Best Makeup Bag I’ve Ever Owned
It’s been a long time since I’ve really felt so strongly about a super random and inexpensive purchase like this but I do, in fact, feel so strongly about this item that it deserved it’s own photos and blog post. Enter the cinch makeup bag I never knew I needed. Until now! Our trip to NYC was the first time I used it to actually travel (farther than from the bathroom to the car ha) and it was a perfect travel bag. Not too big and not too small, easy to set on the sink or hang on a bathroom hook to get out of the way. It was so perfect. This makeup bag has a cinch closure feature which is handy and easy to pull to closed. The bag is designed to open up WIDE and be folded down so ... read more

When you start to look at every single thing you throw away ... read more
Crispy Roasted Chickpeas
Every fall as far back as I can remember, we make pumpkin seeds from all the carved pumpkins we create for Halloween. I always get a little sad because they’re one of my favorite seasonal snacks that I wish we made all year round! Crispy roasted chickpeas might be the best year round fill-in that I’ve found. I am totally a savory/crunchy snacker so anything that fits in those categories is great in my book. Generally speaking I love sweets. I keep chickpeas stashed in my pantry for this chickpea based cookie dough (it’s so delicious!) but this isn’t what I was craving today. I’ve been reaching for any savory snack option lately but getting kind of board of plantain chips and ... read more
