You guys. I wish you could feel this baby blanket. It’s so soft and squishy and just… totally perfect for snuggling up a little baby. The size is great for a newborn- toss it in the car seat or bouncy seat. Le sigh. Babies and blankets are just my weakness!
If you are a beginner knitter, check out my Knitting 101 Youtube videos here. I promise they’re super easy and approachable! You can do this! All you need to know is how to cast on, how to knit, how to purl and how to cast off.

Materials:
4 skeins of Hometown USA yarn (I used Fayetteville Frost and Houston Cream)
US13 9.0mm 36” circular knitting needles
Pattern:
Cast on 50 stitches.
Garter stitch for about 2″. (Knit every row).
For remaining rows (prior to bottom border):
R1: Knit 6 stitches. Purl until last 6 stitches. Knit remaining 6 stitches.
R2: Knit all stitches.
Repeat rows and 1 and 2 for three full skeins of yarn.
Switch colors and continue pattern until blanket is desired size (I used about 1/4 of the 4th skein).
Then knit all rows (garter stitch) for 2″ to finish the bottom border.
Cast off and weave in ends.
Final Size: approx. 22″x32″
Quick, easy and beautiful!!

Hello, I love this pattern! So simple and beautiful. I want to be sure I’m doing it right. Do I turn my work? I’m right handed so should I always be working off the left hook?
