Learning that my precious baby, the tiny little human I felt grow for a little over seven months, was infected by a congenital birth virus, really turned my thoughts over to the world of possible and what that word can mean to so many differently abled people.
I want everything to be possible for my children. Both of them. And right now, nothing is impossible.
I want them to have everything they need to make their dreams come true, to make their hearts happy, and their lives full.
Just a few days ago, I discovered Paper Clouds Apparel, a budding organization that creates apparel from artwork created by special needs kids. The coolest part is that a whopping 50% of their profits go back to the schools to help the kids who make the artwork. That means 50% of their profits go back to making things possible for those kids. I’ve had the pleasure of speaking back and forth with their founder and creator, Robert Thornton, and am overwhelmed by the passion he feels for these kids and seeing their smiles. They are currently on KickStarter right now, hoping to get the funding they need to get their business up and running. Start up costs are high for entrepreneurs these days so any help they can get to reach their goal will be greatly appreciated. Check them out and see if there is anything you can do to help. Visit their blog too so you can see just how fun and impact-full this apparel brand will be.
