I was gifted two copies of The Kids Book of Paper Love thanks to Workman Publishing; one to keep and one to giveaway (find the giveaway over on Instagram) in exchange for this review. All opinions remain my own.

You know how some people collect pottery or chicken statues or movie memorabilia or certain toys… my girls and I love to collect craft books. To me they’re like cookbooks- the kind of thing that takes up shelf space but is endlessly useful and inspiring.
We were delighted to open up the package containing this book. The Kids Book of Paper Love is thick and heavy and before we even opened it we knew it would be filled with goodies. After flipping through it… we were amazed!

In a world where kids lives can become dominated by screen time, it’s really important to our family to provide our girls with access to screen-free activities and materials that keep them engaged and offer some hands on making and creating. On the other it also seems a lot harder than ever to make mental and physical space for creating- messy crafts cause a lot of stress, making big projects requires a lot of space, and set up and clean up can take too long for what it’s worth. I get it, trust me. We live in a small space with very little time these days. I created my ebook, The Little Sketchbook Squad, for this exact reason.
Developed by the editors of Flow Magazine, (affiliate link) The Kids Book of Paper Love is also designed to provide hours of unplugged entertainment.

Paper Love is a gem for easy to do crafting time for all ages. This book is seriously so chalk full of goodies and treasures all using paper. The only other things I’ve found I’ve needed to have on hand for this book to work well are scissors, tape, glue and mark making tools (pens, gel pens etc).

Write your own book. Make up some lunchbox notes, build mini houses and tiny boxes and bowls and paper dolls. Send a postcard. Decorate a journal with stickers and iridescent paper punches.

I have so many people in mind who would love this as a gift. Such a perfect little creative treat for anyone that loves to make stuff and loves beautiful paper. The only fault we can find in this book is that we will all be sad when it’s used up!
