I’ve got a really quick and fun pattern to share today- this knit Pom Pom pillow! Such a fun and fast project that’s really easy even for beginner knitters. If you have trouble with the “knit front back” (kfb) just search it on YouTube. Tons of videos on how to do that already exist.
Because this knit pillow only requires 5 skeins of yarn it’s also super budget friendly and inexpensive. My favorite kind of project!
Materials:
4 skeins hometown USA yarn or similar bulky yarn
Size 10 circular knitting needles
yarn needle
14” pillow form
pom Pom maker
Pattern:
Cast on 3 stitches.
*Knit one front and back (kfb) into the first stitch (single stitch increase). Knit all remaining stitches. Repeat for every row until you have 56 stitches and a piece that looks roughly the size of a half square. Your first skein of yarn should be almost used up.
Switch to next skein. At the beginning of every row cast of one stitch (single stitch decrease). Knit all remaining stitches. Repeat until you have three stitches left. Cast off.
Repeat from * to make second square. You should now have front and back knit squads complete.
Use a whip stitch to close three of the pillow edges neatly. Insert a pillow form or stuffing and stitch the last side closed. Make 4 Pom poms with long tie tails and attach them to each corner using the long tails.
I seriously can’t wait to make more knit pillows! So cozy.
Be sure to pin this project so you can come back to it later!
Happy knitting,
xoxo
