Ok, so it’s possible this won’t be the most earth-shattering blog post on the planet, but I’m pumped to share it none-the-less. Ya’ll know I blog often for buybuy BABY and their #babyhood campaign. I really enjoy their company (best selection of products!) but most of all their transparency in letting me try and use products and only sharing what I genuinely love. That’s big for a big box store to let a blogger do! Anywho- this sponsored post is all about my love for this contraption that looks like a tower fan but isn’t:
The Tower Hybrid Humidifier (the humidifier to end your hunt for a better humidifier, ha!).
I’m not sure what part of the country you are reading from or what your hemisphere’s weather has been, but around the Pittsburgh area we were hit with endless crazy germs in March that spared no one and left so many kids and adults home from school and out from work. It was miserable. From strep throat to mega colds, the stomach flu and on and on and on. My kids had everything under the sun (all three of them) and so did I. I swear we didn’t go a whole week without two or more kids being out of school at least 1 day a week from February through April! It was ridiculous.
Anyway, there isn’t a WHOLE lot I do for my girls when they’re sick with viruses. We try not to give over the counter cough/congestion meds yet as I think they’re still too little, and I always save the Motrin for the worst nights but don’t give it round the clock for weeks. There were lots of couch snuggles, naps, ginger ale, popsicles and warm baths.
Even though she was so sick I love this photo of my sweet Sally Lyn.
But this year I found something that soothes everyone in the house with minimal effort. This humidifier! I don’t think anyone will argue how much worse dry air makes a bad cold. When your throat and nose and sinuses can’t take it anymore, this is the best contraption ever. It’s secret weapon lies in the little chamber it contains and accepts essential oil drops right into it! Yes you read that correctly, it can diffuse essential oils into the cool mist! Game changer! I very recently started trying essential oils with the help of friends and family who are seasoned users and I’m in love already.
See my blog post about that here.
We’ve owned three humidifiers before this one. Each one was similar to the last- hard to clean, hard to refill the chamber, and didn’t work long enough for my liking before needing to be refilled. They were clunky and hard to store. I love that the tower hybrid humidifier (a product from Objecto H9) is slim, comes in black or white, and just tucks up against a wall when you aren’t using it. It doesn’t need to permanently go away and take up bathroom storage space. And it really is just so easy to use! The girls know how to turn it on and know when they hear the beep they can ask us to refill it if need be.
So that’s my product love for today. If you are in the market for a better humidifier, give this one a try and never have to buy another one ever again! Mom win.

Hi, great blog! I am unable to find your blog post about “would I like to crochet of knit better” post, if I have the title right. I am now 65, and having trouble with stiff fingers but thought I would like to learn how to crochet. I did learn knitting years ago, but never got around to learning how to fix mistakes! Would you point me to the right direction if you did indeed write that post? I am going to purchase your chucnk baby blanket pattern, do you have a yarn that you would recommend?
Thanks!

Jacquie – If you’re using your humidifier in a room with floor vents you can get your humidifier to run much longer by closing the doors to the room and using an Ecoflap on the floor vents. The Ecoflap is a vent cover that opens and closes with the flow of air through the vent. It prevents humidified air in the room from draining down into the ductwork through the vents which happens quickly since humidified air is heavier than dry furnace air. Makes humidifier use easier and cheaper since you’ll be using much less water to humidify. It’s a must for distilled or purified water users.
