Children’s Theater Festival Giveaway

April 17, 2017

Happy Easter everyone! Hope your Sunday was spent enjoying your little ones and all the fun things that come with church celebrations and the bunny.  We are still full over here, tired and happily enjoying a down-day.  Glad the sun is shinning and no one has school. Phew!

I’m popping in today with a sponsored post from the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust to share my love for the EQT Children’s Theater Festival coming up in May. If you haven’t taken advantage of this fantastic event here in Pittsburgh, you should definitely add it to your calendar and try to head out for some performances this year. It’s a really nice event to take your kids on a “date” and a fun place to bring Grandparents.  The shows and activities are going to be so good!  And I’m not going to lie – any city events that host food trucks sound good to me! Ha!

This year the festival happens to fall over the week Gracie will be at Children’s for her cochlear implant surgery so I won’t be able to go, but I’m excited to have tickets lined up for Lilly and a grandparent to go see The Way Back Home – a book we know and love.  She hasn’t seen a puppet show in real life so I  know she’ll love it.  I think We Built This City – an interactive cardboard box performance – will be so good too.

Also, I know I have many friends with kiddos that have sensory aversions – there are sensory friendly showings of each performance!  Trained ushers and theatre personnel will be on hand as well as available comfort-zones and fidgets. How nice is that?!  Every show is child-friendly so please have no worries about bringing little ones that might not know how to sit still and be quiet the whole time.  This festival is designed just for them, a place to introduce the imagination and creativity that can be born through performance art.  So important.

I’ve got 4 ticket vouchers to giveaway to one of you sweet readers redeemable for any showing of your choice EXCEPT Elephant and Piggie due to availability. All you have to do is share this post on Facebook and message me letting me know you did!  I’ll be selecting a winner on Friday and mailing vouchers directly to you.

Have a wonderful spring week!

xoxo
