I think 2017 is the year of essential oils in my newsfeeds. I swear that’s all I see 24/7 from so many Mama friends that I love and respect. It can’t all be hype I thought, so here I am dipping my toes into the water with a few finds from Oilogic from buybuy BABY, and also from Stadler Form from buybuy BABY. Thanks to buybuy BABY for sponsoring this post and helping our family get started with EO’s!
Before I put any essential oils on my skin or on my kids, I thought starting with a diffuser would be perfect. There are so many amazing blends people share of oils to help with different things. For now, I’ve been using these Relax, Revive and Refresh blends from Stadler Form’s Swizz Style line. They make my house sort of zen like a spa but the smells aren’t too strong or overpowering. Hubby is not a fan, so before he gets home I turn the diffuser off and the gentle aroma dissipates pretty quickly. Perfect!
The SpaRoom diffuser I’m using above can be found here. I love the color changing lights and the fact that the kids can’t figure out how to turn it on, ha!
Next- these roller balls from Oilogic. Oh my word I love these so much. Seriously. They have been so good with the kids. My favorite of all of these has to be the tube of ouchie ointment. We were laying this stuff on thick under raw and chapped nosies when we were all so sick. It is so soothing and helps our family save the bandaid stash for true boo boo emergencies (anyone else’s kids obsessed with bandaids?! I cannot be the only one). Sally is going through an unfortunate scrathing-the-sisters phase so we rub a bit of ouchie ointment on every single time. Helps the sting and helps the scratches heal so quickly!
Another product I’m obsessed with is this Stuffy Nose and Cough Vapor Bath. Hello motherhood life saver. It’s so hard to not be able to give the girls cough medicine or decongestant or anything that will really help them, but this in the bathtub opens all the airways and helps little sick bodies feel so much better. I used this bath vapor too and it was just so soothing. We’ve already pickup up another bottle. There is a lavender version too for sleepy time!
Do you use oils? What are your favorites? I’m thinking of getting some citrus scents, rosemary, and lavender. Mmmm. All the smells ha!
This post is shared as part of buybuy BABY’s #babyhood campaign. It is my pleasure to share products I love that work for our family, and give you ideas on how to use them with your own family. All opions, thoughts and images remain my own.
