Making a Digital Disney Scrapbook using the Project Life App

August 12, 2016

You. Guys.

The project life app has changed my life forever. I’m not even going to waste time explaining how it works because it’s SUPER easy to figure out. Basically you drag and drop pictures or “cards” (you can find them for purchase in the app) into all these different pre-made collage templates. The pages you create can be 12″x12″ or 8″x8″ and print easily right from the app onto paper sheets for your book. So incredibly easy and allows for easy memory keeping as you go instead of dealing with everything after you get home. I’m terrible at printing photos and making photo books but this on-the-go option worked so so well for me! It was nice to unwind each night going through phone photos, jotting down the important things from the day that I didn’t want to forget and knowing I had those memories all saved and ready to go before the next day. I LOVE LOVE the end result and so do the girls. New favorite thing, I’m tellin’ ya.

I’ll share my spreads from Disney and also share the apps I love most to use in conjunction with the Project Life app. Here goes!

Here is my cover page for our Disney Trip album. Maybe the hardest page to make because it’s so hard to adequately depict all the amazing moments we all shared so I kept it simple and just showed off the Castle!

I’m going to have the kids and Brandon and I sign the book with a sharpie in the “About this book” box. I think it’ll be cute to commemorate how they write their names at this stage in their lives!

Oops, yes I see my typos! Ah. Must fix before printing!

I used the app OVER to get the word “Bahamas” on that top left photo. You have to do that first before uploading the picture into the spread in project life.

I’m going to stick some semi transparent washi tape over “today” and hand write in “this whole trip” was a great day!

Because it really and truly was. So so great.

How did you do the photos where it was broken into 3 parts? Ie. Your cover?

I dropped the same photo into all three boxes then adjusted the size until it spread out perfectly between the three! I wish there was more science to it… I just kept messing around with the size of the biggest photo until it worked with the other parts. Hope that makes sense!

Love this. Curious how did you print? A bound book or the sheets to use in an album?
