It’s been so much fun having my own art space again and setting this one up in the new house has been so satisfying. I finally have a nice bright space to set up my projects and it makes me feel so inspired to come in here and work!
I’ve seen this cool hexi shelf floating around the internet to store acrylic paint tubes and couldn’t resist the one at Target for the low price. For the record, this is my favorite acrylic paint.
Also on my desk is this watercolor tray which is cheap and perfect to play with, and this brush. It’s so much fun! Add some of these and you’ve got a few really reasonably priced fun art mediums to play with all summer. Perfect!
I want to add this IKEA cart (or two) for storage in my art room. I need a place to put scrap fabric, materials and supplies, my hot glue gun, dollhouse materials etc. etc. And they seem perfect. I just saw these at Target too though and might go with them instead. I love the color of the IKEA ones but Target is so much closer to us than IKEA, ha!
Also in my art space are all my cookbooks! I’m kind of obsessed with this collection and love to flip through the pages of the beautiful photography and delicious recipes. I can say honestly that I use these cookbooks more than any other collection I have, and I love them.
Love this cookbook lately.
This is on my radar too for storing tiny things, vintage bobbins and thread, peg people, painted stones… I really want to find a thrifted one but sometimes the “antique” price tag is outrageous. We’re on a budget here people (aren’t we all?).

Perhaps my weirdest habit lately… smelling these candles! I can’t bring myself to burn them and I know they are very wintery scents but I’m obsessed. They make me feel relaxed and bring back memories of cabins and fires and lake water and snuggling. Love them all.
That’s all I’ve got for today. My Mom’s in town so we are doing all the fun MomMom things we can squeeze into 48 hours. Photoshoots for me, Finding Dory, Coscto run (hooray!), ice cream date, park, swimming, shopping. We’ve got to cover all the bases.
Have a great weekend!
