I am an admitted baby gear junkie. Anyone else?! I absolutely love all the cool, useful and innovative products on the market today that make life with babies easier, more stylish, and more fun! In the few short years since we had our first baby, things have changed so much; new brands are popping up with creative solutions, sleek designs, and better function allowing us parents to enjoy #babyhood more than ever.
We were cursed with babies who HATE the car. No driving around the block for naps in this house! I wish we would have used this convertible carseat from the get-go. It seems to have helped Sally SO much. Maybe the more upright angle, or the comfortable shape of the bucket and padding- whatever it is, I sing the praises of the Maxi Cosi Pria70 from the mountaintops of Pittsburgh, ya’ll. It is that good. The excellent safety ratings don’t hurt either. 😉

Then there is the puj bath tub. I swear by this thing. One of the most annoying things I’ve ever had to deal with has to have been that giant plastic whale bathtub. What a pain that thing was to use (and to store)! This amazing tub stores FLAT (we hang it on a little hook behind the bathroom door) and uses magnets to fold up into a tub that sets into the sink when you need to use it. We traveled with it back and forth to Philly so many times and it has held up so well through multiple kids.
Another godsend baby gear item that we are completely in love with is the MamaRoo swing. I love that buybuyBABY carries 4Moms products and makes it so easy to add them to your big-box registry.
The only problem with this swing is that it can’t fit ME! I’d nap so hard in it… seriously. HA!
Another 4Moms creation that we ADORE is the Breeze pack and play. Words cannot describe how much we HATED the first pack and play we owned (Daddy almost threw it through our living room window trying to set it up lol) and words also can’t describe how much we love this thing. So incredibly easy to set up and take down. Portable, sturdy. Just perfect in every way. Sally slept in this in our bedroom for almost a year!
If you’ve followed me for any amount of time, you’ll know that rarely a day passes where I’m not wearing Sally. I’ve owned a ton of baby carriers through three kids, and acquired most of them while Sally was a baby. But the most versatile one and the one that I’d have to say is the go-to carrier for everyone BESIDES me- it’s definitely the Ergo. It’s super comfortable, able to worn many different ways, fits Brandon as well as it fits me, is easy to get on and off, easy to adjust, easy to wash- just all around a really great “work horse” baby carrier. If you are planning a baby carrier stash, definitely include this one in your list!
Last but definitely not least, a new addition to our baby gear must haves- the Babyzen YOYO stroller! This thing is genius. It folds up so small I can hardly believe it! Sally cries to go in it to the point where we have to hide the stroller from her so she forgets about it. This is huge for me since usually she WILL NOT go in a stroller and just wants me to carry her in a sling or front pack! The frame of this stroller is light and sturdy and I love the how smooth it is to push. I can’t wait to take this thing on vacation!
A certain big sis likes this stroller too! 😉
So there you have it. My simple essential baby gear list!
