I can’t tell you how wonderful it was to photograph this sweet little girl. Days old, she was sleepy, calm, and very content to be wrapped and snuggled for the hour or so that I was there. Mom and Dad were awesome too- totally calm, laid back and relaxed. Dad is in big trouble though, because little Miss has a most adorable pouty lip!
Happy birth day baby G!

This was my first time on the birth ward as a visitor and not a Mom in probably 4 years. It’s amazing what I missed in the moments of giving birth and all the events that ensued, especially after Grace was born. Understandable of course, but still amazing. Before today I couldn’t have even told you what color the walls of the hallway were. I am so excited to capture these moments and memories for parents because I know the photos really will be treasures to look back on forever and always.
With that sentiment in mind, I have been invited to join an organization called Preemie Prints that provides free photography sessions from volunteer photographers to families with babies in the NICU. I will be the first photographer in Pittsburgh to join and I couldn’t be any more thrilled about that than I already am. I finally, finally, have found a way to reach out to families going through similar situations to the one my own family went through with Gracie just a short year ago.
Newborn moments are precious and beautiful regardless of the journey each child is on. I will be providing more information soon when all of the necessary paperwork is complete, but in the meantime, please check out Preemie Prints to see what they do, and what the organization is all about. Head HERE to like them on facebook. They go so far above and beyond providing photo sessions and have beautiful, wonderful, incredible plans for the future.
Have a great weekend, friends. I’m sending spring vibes out there to you as strongly as possible…
Working yet?
