We made these pretty sunflowers using empty TP rolls and regular paint brushes. This project was so easy to set up for the kids but they had a great time making them and really went to town stamping with the tubes. If you do this project, I advise stockpiling LOTS of tubes as the kids get pretty heavy handed slamming the tubes onto the paper. Eventually the wetness of the paint and the strength of little arms causes the tubes to cave in. This is a great age for kids to experiment with different tools to make art. Learning how many different kinds of objects (especially recycled materials!) can make marks opens up the doors for imagination and creativity. The final touch was a dab of glue and some real seeds for the center of our flowers much to the delight of the littles.
Our sunflowers were looking lonely so we added lady bug drawings- and when you have one lady bug you need a whole family!
